What’s IN the name?

In high school all I knew was I wanted to be a hairdresser and live in London. At 22, I took a deep breath, ignored all my fear and went. I left my family and everything that was comfortable and familiar behind to go where my heart was calling.

After a month living in a hostel, I got a share house in Camden Town. I fell in love, Camden is a place like no other. Just walking down the street you will see heavily tattooed punks, pin-up girls, cyber goths and everyone in between. You’re free to express your passion and creativity however you like and it will not only be accepted but celebrated.

I stayed for nearly 2 years and worked in a high-end salon in Chiswick. Here I refined and built on my hairdressing skills, learning from my co-workers and classes at the L’oreal Academy London.

This business, Camden Lane, is the second time I have been called to do something life changing and create something I can build with my own values, experience and style. I wanted to bring the uniqueness and acceptance of Camden town with me, which is the very thing that helped me let go of fear and instead follow my heart.
